The location is the Light House where the premises of the Finnish Association of the Deaf are. The Light House is at the moment under renovation and the new museum space is planned to be opened in 2023.

Deaf Museum and Archive UK Question 4: Location?

The location of your Museum. Is it in a building that is owned by you? Rented? Can you use it for free? Is your Museum located at a Deaf school, a Deaf Club or a Deaf Association? If we may ask: what are the costs? 

A paid, rented location, at a Deaf Club. Costing £1600 pm

Norsk Døvemuseum (NO) Question 4: Location?

The location of your Museum. Is it in a building that is owned by you? Rented? Can you use it for free? Is your Museum located at a Deaf school, a Deaf Club or a Deaf Association? If we may ask: what are the costs? 

The Deaf Museum in Norway is located in a protected building (we are not allowed to interfere with any of the interior) and is not owned by us. We rent the areas at a pricy cost.

The museum is located in what used to be the Deaf school, but was closed during the 1990’s.

There are also other organizations renting areas in the building. This makes it difficult to make good advertising for the entrance of the museum.

Our museum is located at the school for the deaf in Copenhagen, which was also started in 1981.

We have 4 rooms (200m2 area) in the school. Rent is free.

Our museum is located in a building that is the former city hospital, recognized as a historical monument!

It is made available to us free of charge. We pay the charges: electricity, water, heating, telephone (Internet)…
